ROFOS – Artisanal quality and expertise
ROFOS is an Italian diving equipment brand specializing primarily in drysuits and technical diving gear, born out of a profound passion for the sea and decades of experience in the industry. The company was founded in Northern Italy in 1984 by Roberto Scerbo, a professional and competitive spearfisherman who, even as a child, crafted neoprene gloves and suits for friends and competitors; the name "Rofos" itself refers to the Grouper, a fish common in the cold Mediterranean waters.
Remaining a small, family-owned, and artisanal business, the company specializes in custom-made drysuits and leads the field by utilizing top-tier materials and techniques that ensure peak performance and a precise fit for technical divers. Today, the company also provides specialized drysuits for military forces, police units, and fire departments worldwide.
AKUANA – Minimalism Meets Vibrancy
long, and complex underwater cave systems of Guangxi, China. It was there that the company’s philosophy was forged: developing "Hogarthian" equipment—minimalist, reliable, and durable gear tailored for the most demanding exploration dives. Established in 2013, the brand emphasizes durability, thermal integrity (staying dry), and a full range of motion.
Beyond technical excellence, they undeniably bring a burst of color and vibrancy to the diving world with equipment available in a wide and vivid palette.Hogarthian-style diving gear represents a minimalist and streamlined approach to equipment configuration, aimed at reducing drag in the water and enhancing safety. For example, instead of a classic jacket-style BCD, this configuration typically utilizes a metal backplate, a simple continuous webbing harness, and a wing. All equipment is secured close to the body and the cylinder, eliminating dangling hoses.
Poseidon - A Symbol of Innovation and Safety
Poseidon is a Swedish diving equipment manufacturer founded in 1958 in Gothenburg by Dennis Österlund and Ingvar Elfström. Driven by their passion for diving, they originally established the company as "Aqua Sport" to solve the challenges posed by existing equipment in the harsh, frigid Swedish waters. Their first major breakthrough came quickly: the development of the Cyklon regulator. This was the world’s first single-hose regulator with a side exhaust, a design that solved freezing issues and set a global standard. To this day, it remains a top choice for professional divers, rescue teams, and naval forces worldwide, including those of the US and Germany.
As the company expanded into international markets, it rebranded to Poseidon, named after the founders' diving club and the Greek god of the sea. Today, with over 60 years of heritage, Poseidon specializes in high-performance cold-water gear. Their legendary lineup includes the cold-resistant Xstream and Jetstream regulators, advanced rebreathers (such as the Discovery and MKVI) for closed-circuit technical diving, and premium drysuits. Their valve division eventually branched off to become the renowned company Si-Tech. With all production and testing conducted at their facility near Gothenburg, Poseidon remains a global symbol of innovation and safety—particularly in the most demanding environments, from winter diving to elite military operations.
